The Haldex pump generates the oil pressure that operates the all-wheel-drive coupling and sends power to the rear wheels. It is prone to failure on higher-mileage cars, or where regular servicing has been missed, and when it fails you can expect a loss of power to the rear wheels and reduced traction and grip. Fitting this S-TEC-supplied pump restores full AWD function.
