Courtesy Car Policy

Eco Torque Courtesy Car Loan Agreement

This Courtesy Car Loan Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms and conditions under which Eco Torque Ltd. (“Eco Torque”) provides a courtesy car to the customer (“Customer”). By accepting and using the courtesy vehicle, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.


1. Insurance & Excess

  • The courtesy vehicle is insured under Eco Torque’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • In the event of an accident, the Customer is responsible for paying the insurance excess of £500, regardless of fault.
  • This excess must be paid in full before collection of the Customer’s vehicle from the Eco Torque workshop.

2. Driving Eligibility

  • The Customer must hold a full and valid UK driving licence.
  • The Customer may lend the courtesy car to another member of their household, provided that person also holds a full valid UK driving licence and uses the vehicle for normal household-related activities.

3. Vehicle Care & Cleanliness

  • Customers are responsible for keeping the interior of the vehicle clean.
  • No smoking and no pets are permitted inside the vehicle.
  • If smoking, pets, or spills occur, the Customer will be charged a £75 valet fee.

4. Fuel Policy

  • The courtesy car must be returned with the same fuel level it was provided with.
  • Failure to do so will result in the Customer being charged for:
  • The cost of the missing fuel, plus
  • £25 administration fee to cover time and refuelling costs.

5. Customer Responsibilities for Fines & Charges

The Customer is solely responsible for paying any of the following charges incurred during the loan period:

  • Parking fines
  • Speeding fines
  • Tolls
  • ULEZ charges
  • Congestion charges

6. Dashcams & Installed Devices

  • Courtesy vehicles are fitted with dashcams and/or monitoring devices.
  • Customers must not disconnect, remove, or tamper with these devices under any circumstances.
  • If devices are tampered with, the Customer must provide their own valid insurance evidence to cover the vehicle during the hire period.

7. Vehicle Condition & Use

  • Customers must not tamper with, modify, or alter the vehicle in any way.
  • Customers are responsible for the safety and care of the vehicle while it is in their possession.
  • Responsibility remains with the Customer until the vehicle and keys are returned in person to an Eco Torque staff member for inspection.

8. Negligence

  • In the event of negligence, the Customer assumes all responsibility, both legally and financially.

9. Agreement

By using the courtesy car, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions in this Agreement.
