About the Haldex Pumps

The hydraulic feeder pump is the part that fails most often on a Haldex coupling. The usual symptoms are an AWD or 4x4 warning light, a stored pressure or open-circuit fault, and drive that no longer reaches the second axle — noticed as wheelspin pulling out of a junction, or on a rolling road. Eco Torque stocks Genuine Haldex (S-TEC) and BorgWarner replacement pumps for all five generations.

Pumps are generation-specific. The common numbers are 02D525557 (Gen 1), 0AV598549A and 02W598549A (Gen 2), 8V41-4C019-AA / 30783079 (Gen 3 Ford and Volvo), LR003147 / 6G9N-4C019-AA (Gen 3 Freelander), 0AY598549A and 13285796 (Gen 4), and 0CQ598549 (Gen 5). A useful tip on the Ford and Volvo numbers: 4C019 in the middle of the number means a pump, and 4A319 means a filter — so 8V41-4C019-AA and 8V41-4A319-AA look almost identical but are completely different parts. Always fit a new filter and fresh Haldex oil at the same time — or buy a matched service kit and get all three together. Not sure which parts you need?
