About the Haldex Parts

The Haldex coupling is the electronically controlled multi-plate clutch that sends drive to the second axle on most transverse all-wheel-drive cars — Audi quattro, VW 4Motion, Skoda 4×4, SEAT 4Drive, Volvo AWD, Ford and Land Rover AWD, Mini ALL4 and BMW xDrive. Eco Torque stocks the complete Haldex service range: hydraulic pumps, filter and gasket kits, control units, clutch packs and the correct Haldex oil, from Genuine Haldex (S-TEC), BorgWarner, Febi Bilstein and Ravenol.

There are five Haldex generations and they are not interchangeable — the pump, the filter and the oil capacity all change between them. One thing that catches people out: not every brand used every generation. Gen 2 is a VW Group generation, and VAG cars step straight from Gen 2 to Gen 4; Gen 3 is a Ford, Volvo and Land Rover generation with its own part numbers.
