Haldex Gen 3

Haldex Gen 3 is the generation fitted to the Ford, Volvo and Land Rover AWD platforms of the 2000s — and it is not a VW Group generation, which is where most of the confusion comes from. VAG cars step straight from Gen 2 to Gen 4. On Ford and Volvo the Gen 3 pump is 8V41-4C019-AA / 30783079, with filter kit 8V41-4A319-AA / 30787687. The Land Rover Freelander 2 uses LR003147 / 6G9N-4C019-AA. Eco Torque stocks Genuine Haldex (S-TEC) and BorgWarner parts for both families.

The Ford Kuga is the one worth care: BorgWarner list it against both the Gen 3 and the Gen 4 pump across the same production run, split by engine rather than by build date — so on a Kuga, read the number off the pump rather than going by the registration year.
