Includes the Hengst Haldex pump (DS118611), Febi Bilstein Haldex oil (101172), and mounting screws — everything required for a full pump replacement service.

What is the Haldex AWD pump and what does it do?

The Haldex pump is the heart of the AWD coupling unit. It builds hydraulic pressure to engage the rear axle clutch pack on demand, transferring torque to the rear wheels when traction is needed. A failed pump results in permanent front-wheel-drive operation.

What symptoms indicate a failing Haldex pump?

Common signs include loss of rear-wheel traction in wet conditions, Haldex warning lights, fault codes relating to AWD system pressure, and unusual noise from the rear differential area.

Is this kit compatible with Gen 1 or Gen 4 Haldex?

No — this kit is specific to Generation 2 and 3 Haldex units. Generation 1 (pre-2002), Generation 4 (Ford Kuga/certain Volvos) and Generation 5 units use different pumps. Please check the generation before ordering.

Do I need to service the Haldex filter at the same time?

Yes — we strongly recommend replacing the Haldex oil filter when fitting a new pump. The filter may contain debris from the old pump, which can damage the new unit if not replaced.
