The 55556581 is a genuine OE-grade synchromesh ring for 5th and 6th gear positions in the Opel/Vauxhall M32 manual gearbox. A worn synchromesh ring causes crunching or grinding noise when selecting 5th or 6th gear, and if left unattended can cause secondary damage to the selector hub and gear itself. This part fits position 48 or 51 on the M32 exploded diagram.
