A replacement clutch actuator motor for the Ford DPS6 (PowerShift) dual clutch transmission as fitted to the Ford Fiesta and Focus (2011–2017). Two actuator motors are required per vehicle and they are interchangeable between the two positions.

What does the DPS6 clutch actuator do?

The clutch actuator motor controls the engagement and disengagement of each clutch pack within the DPS6 dual clutch transmission. When it fails, the gearbox may shudder, hesitate during gear changes, or display fault codes relating to clutch control.

What are the symptoms of a failing DPS6 clutch actuator?

Common symptoms include judder or shudder at low speed, harsh or delayed gear changes, a warning light, loss of drive in one or more gears, or the gearbox entering limp mode. Fault codes P0810–P0815 or transmission-specific codes may be stored.

Why are two actuator motors required?

The DPS6 is a dual clutch transmission with two independent clutch packs (odd and even gears). Each clutch pack has its own actuator motor. Both motors are identical and interchangeable between positions.

Can I fit this actuator myself?

The actuator motors are accessible after removing the gearbox mechatronics unit, which requires specialist knowledge and tooling. We recommend professional fitting to ensure correct calibration after replacement.
