This is a genuine gear selector repair kit to remedy the following error message on VAG, MQB platform, DSG gearboxes:

“Error Workshop, only leave vehicle in Position P”

This bundle includes both the genuine VW/Audi 5Q0713128A micro switch and the 8V0713169 selector gator sleeve to provide a complete rectification for the B116229 fault.

Vehicle Compatibility

Compatible with DQ500 gearboxes usually in the 8V1 RS3, however does not fit any Transporter models with the DQ500 gearbox.

This unit fits VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda DQ200 / DQ250 / DQ381 DSG vehicles from 2013 to 2022.

A: ETB3446 uses the 5Q0713128A switch (newer MQB specification), while ETB3445 uses the 3Q0713128 switch. Both include the 8V0713169 sleeve. Check which part number is fitted to your vehicle.

Q: Why do I need the sleeve as well as the switch?
A: The sleeve prevents the selector gator boot from jamming the switch again after replacement, which is the root cause of the fault recurring.

Q: Black or white version — how do I check?
A: Remove the gear selector trim panel and inspect the switch colour directly. The version cannot be determined from the registration or VIN.

Q: Does the 5Q0713128A also fix DQ381 and DQ500?
