This is a genuine gear selector location repair kit to rectify the following error message on VAG, MQB Platform, DSG gearboxes for 0AM/0CW, 02E/0D9, 0BH/0BT & 0GC models:

“Error Workshop, only leave vehicle in Position P”

This bundle includes both the micro switch (3Q0713128) and the selector gator sleeve (8V0713169) to provide a complete rectification and prevent the fault recurring.

Important — Two Versions

• There are two versions of this switch which cannot be identified by the main dealer parts system.
• Customers must check whether their vehicle is fitted with the black or white version before purchasing.

Vehicle Compatibility

Compatible with DQ500 gearboxes usually in the 8V1 RS3, however does not fit any Transporter models with the DQ500 gearbox.

This unit fits VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda DQ200 / DQ250 / DQ381 DSG vehicles from 2013 to 2022.

A: The sleeve prevents the selector gator boot from jamming the switch again after replacement, which is the root cause of the fault recurring.

Q: Black or white version — how do I check?
A: Remove the gear selector trim panel and inspect the switch colour directly. The version cannot be determined from the registration or VIN.

Q: Does this fit DQ500 in the VW Transporter?
A: No — this does not fit Transporter variants with the DQ500. It is compatible with DQ500 in the 8V1 RS3 only.
