0AM DSG Mechatronic Unit with TCU

Fits Audi, VW, Skoda, SEAT – DQ200 7-Speed Gearbox

0AM325025D - 0AM 325 025 D

This 0AM DSG mechatronic unit includes a Transmission Control Unit (TCU). Suitable for DQ200 7-speed dry clutch gearboxes, used in a range of Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, and SEAT models.

Important Information:

  • We can preload the vehicle software for 0AM versions. 0CW versions require cloning and customers must send their TCU to us before we are able to dispatch the unit.
  • Pre-programmed relates to the core vehicle software to enable communication to the unit. This is not basic settings, which can only be done on the vehicle with diagnostic equipment.

What We Need From You:

  • VIN
  • Hardware number (e.g., 0AM927769D – found on the TCU or via diagnostics)
  • Software number (via diagnostic tools)
  • Clutch pistons and breather cap from your original unit

⚠️ Note: Vehicles with component protection will require activation post-installation via ODIS.
⚠️ Mechatronic fluid required: 1.1L of G004000M2

Installation must be carried out by an experienced technician, including basic settings and DSG adaptations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a DSG mechatronic unit?
A: The mechatronic unit is the electro-hydraulic control module that manages gear selection in the DQ200 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It houses the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) and hydraulic valve body, and is the most common cause of DSG gearbox faults.

Q: What faults does a failed mechatronic unit cause?
A: Common symptoms include jerky gear changes, failure to select drive or reverse, gearbox warning lights, error codes (e.g., P17BF, P189E), and the gearbox going into limp mode. If you experience any of these, contact us for a diagnosis.

Q: Can I fit this unit myself?
A: Installation must be carried out by an experienced technician using ODIS or equivalent diagnostic equipment to perform basic settings and DSG adaptations. Incorrect installation can cause further damage.

Q: What vehicles does the 0AM/0CW DQ200 gearbox fit?
A: The DQ200 7-speed dry clutch DSG is fitted to a wide range of Audi (A1, A3, TT), Volkswagen (Golf, Polo, Passat, Caddy, Scirocco, Jetta, Beetle), SEAT (Ibiza, Leon, Altea, Toledo), and Škoda (Fabia, Octavia, Rapid, Roomster, Superb, Yeti) models. Check the fitment list above.

Q: What information do I need to supply when ordering?
A: Please provide your VIN, hardware number (found on the TCU, e.g., 0AM927769D), and software number (via diagnostics). Also have your clutch pistons and breather cap ready to transfer from the original unit.
