This ETB2038A kit provides everything needed to carry out the permanent reverse selector fork repair on the 0AM / 0CW DQ200 7-Speed DSG gearbox. The upgraded OE VAG reverse selector fork is the definitive fix for all reverse gear faults on this gearbox, paired with input shaft seals and the gearbox end cap for a complete repair.

Upgraded reverse selector fork
Input shaft seal 0AM301189E (40x56x8)
Input shaft seal 0AM301733L (20.5x28x7)
Gearbox end cap 0AM301212A

Important Information

This repair requires modification of the gearbox casing and must only be performed by a qualified and experienced DSG technician. This is the updated OE VAG part that provides a permanent cure for the reverse fault.

What is the difference between ETB2038A and ETB2038B?

ETB2038A includes the upgraded fork, seals and end cap. ETB2038B also adds gearbox sealant. ETB2038C includes oil as well.

Is this a permanent fix?

Yes — the upgraded selector fork is the OE cure for this fault. Once fitted correctly, the problem does not recur.

Does the casing need modification?

Yes — the casing must be modified to accept the upgraded fork. This should only be done by an experienced technician.
