Buyers must physically count the teeth on their existing gear before ordering — there are no internal diagrams or external references to identify tooth count.

How do I confirm my 3rd gear has 47 teeth?

The tooth count must be confirmed by counting physically with the gearbox open. The 0AM DQ200 uses 3rd gears of either 47 or 49 teeth depending on the application variant. See ET3752 for the 49-tooth version.

What causes 3rd gear failure on the 0AM DQ200?

Third gear is a known failure point on the DQ200 under sustained high torque or repeated aggressive driving. Symptoms include grinding when engaging 3rd, difficulty selecting, and jump-out. The synchro hub and selector fork should also be inspected.

Should I replace the synchro rings and fork at the same time?

Yes — if the gear is damaged, the surrounding components are likely worn too. For a complete repair, use the 3rd gear repair kit (ETB3743) which includes the fork, hub, locking collar and synchro rings.
