Gen 5 Haldex Pump — AWD Coupling

The Generation 5 Haldex pump supplies the hydraulic pressure needed to engage the AWD coupling and send drive to the rear axle. On higher-mileage vehicles, or where Haldex servicing has been skipped, this pump is a common failure point — typical symptoms include a loss of drive to the rear wheels and reduced grip in slippery conditions. Fitting a replacement pump restores full AWD operation.
