Complete 9-piece solenoid replacement set for the MPS6 6DCT450 Powershift mechatronic unit. Designed to restore correct solenoid function in Ford and Volvo vehicles equipped with the 6-speed Powershift gearbox. Solenoids are pre-coded to OE specification.

What causes Powershift solenoid failure?

Contaminated transmission fluid is the most common cause. Old fluid breaks down the solenoid seals and causes sticking or erratic shift behaviour. Regular fluid changes are the best prevention.

How do I know if my MPS6 solenoids need replacing?

Common symptoms include hesitation on pull-away, shudder in low gears, fault codes relating to the mechatronic unit, and sudden loss of drive. Have the gearbox scanned before replacing parts.

Is this a genuine OE part?

Yes — this is an OE-specification solenoid set supplied by S-TEC, the original equipment supplier for MPS6 Powershift mechatronic solenoids.

Can I fit this myself?

The solenoid set requires removal of the mechatronic unit. This is a workshop-level job and we recommend professional installation. Incorrect assembly can cause further damage.

Which Powershift generation does this fit?

This set fits the MPS6 6DCT450 (Generation 1 Powershift). It is not compatible with the DCT451 Generation 2 unit. Check your gearbox code before ordering.
