DSG 0AM / 0CW DQ200 Clutch Piston Seals x2 – Audi / SEAT / Skoda / VW

This listing is for a pack of two (x2) clutch piston seals for the Volkswagen Group 0AM/0CW DQ200 7-speed dry dual-clutch DSG gearbox. These seals prevent hydraulic pressure loss in the clutch actuator pistons. Degraded piston seals cause clutch slip, shudder on pull-away, or complete clutch engagement failure — a very common symptom in the DQ200 gearbox.

Gearbox: VW Group 0AM / 0CW DQ200 (7-Speed Dry DSG)

Quantity: 2x clutch piston seals

Fits:

  • Audi A1 (2010–2018) · A3 (2003–2013) · TT (2006–2014)
  • SEAT Altea, Ibiza, Leon, Toledo (various years)
  • Skoda Fabia, Octavia, Rapid, Roomster, Superb, Yeti (various years)
  • Volkswagen Beetle, Caddy, CC, Golf, Jetta, Passat, Polo, Scirocco, Touran (various years)
What causes the DQ200 clutch piston seals to fail?

Over time, the rubber piston seals in the DQ200 clutch actuator degrade due to heat cycling and hydraulic pressure. This causes fluid to bypass the seal, reducing pressure and causing erratic clutch behaviour, shudder, or loss of drive on pull-away.

Do I need to replace both seals at the same time?

Yes — the DQ200 has two clutch circuits (odd and even gears). Both seals should be replaced together as they wear at similar rates. Replacing only one seal while leaving the other degraded will quickly result in the same symptoms recurring.

Is this a DIY repair or does it require specialist tools?

Seal replacement in the DQ200 requires removal and partial disassembly of the mechatronic/clutch pack assembly. Specialist tools and knowledge are required. We recommend this is performed by a qualified DSG transmission specialist.

What are the symptoms of failed DQ200 clutch piston seals?

The most common symptoms are shuddering or jerking when pulling away from a standstill, the gearbox entering fault mode or refusing to select a gear, and a loss of drive particularly on the clutch 1 or clutch 2 circuit.

Does this fit both the 0AM and 0CW variants?

Yes — the 0AM and 0CW are the same base unit with minor calibration differences. The piston seals are interchangeable between both variants.
