DQ200 7-Speed DSG Mechatronic Internal Filter – Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Volkswagen

This internal filter is designed for the DQ200 7-speed dry-clutch DSG mechatronic unit used across a wide range of Audi, SEAT, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles. Located inside the mechatronic housing, it filters contaminants from the hydraulic fluid that controls gear selection. Replacing this filter during a mechatronic service or rebuild helps protect the valve body and solenoids from debris-related damage.

Fits transmission: 0AM / 0CW DQ200 7-speed dry-clutch DSG

Position: Internal – fits inside the mechatronic unit, not replaced during routine oil changes

When should the mechatronic internal filter be replaced?

The internal filter should be replaced whenever the mechatronic unit is removed for inspection or rebuild. It is not a service item during routine gearbox oil changes but is critical to inspect during internal repairs.

What happens if the mechatronic filter becomes blocked?

A blocked filter restricts hydraulic fluid flow to the valve body, causing pressure drops that lead to harsh shifts, gear selection faults, or DQ200 error codes. In severe cases it can trigger limp-home mode.

Does this fit both the 0AM and 0CW versions of the DQ200?

Yes. This filter is compatible with both the 0AM and 0CW variants of the DQ200 7-speed dry-clutch DSG transmission.

Is this the same as the ET2026 Gen 1 internal filter?

No. ET2021 is for the DQ200 mechatronic unit and differs in design and dimensions from the ET2026 Gen 1 filter. Always check compatibility before ordering.

Can I replace just the filter, or do I need the full mechatronic kit?

The filter can be replaced on its own if the mechatronic unit is otherwise serviceable. However, during a full rebuild it is best practice to replace all wear items including the filter, seals and accumulator.
