Running the cleaner through the old oil before draining removes these particles, giving the NANODRIVE nano-particles the best possible surface to bond with when the fresh oil is added. Do I need to flush the gearbox if the oil is being changed on schedule?

If the oil is being changed on a regular schedule and the gearbox is not showing symptoms, a flush is optional but beneficial. If the service is overdue, or if the drained oil is dark, discoloured or contains visible metallic particles, flushing before adding fresh oil is strongly recommended.
