Genuine Vauxhall Subframe Cage Nut & Bolt Kit – 90468617 / 13158053

This kit contains a Genuine Vauxhall subframe chassis bolt (13158053) and cage nut (90468617), sold together as a replacement set. The bolt commonly seizes due to underbody corrosion and must be cut during subframe removal for gearbox, suspension or engine work. The retaining cage nut often spins inside the chassis once the bolt has been destroyed, making both parts necessary for a clean repair.

Fitment location: Parts 7 & 8 on the subframe diagram (M32 platform). Applies to subframe-to-chassis mounting points on Vauxhall / Opel M32 gearbox vehicles.

Why do these subframe bolts seize?

Underbody salt and moisture corrode the bolt threads into the cage nut. Over years the two fuse together — the bolt cannot be released without cutting, and the cage nut then spins freely inside the chassis rail.

Do I need to replace both the bolt and the nut?

Yes. Once the bolt has been cut, the cage nut threads are almost always damaged too. Replacing both together ensures a solid, torque-capable joint.

Are these genuine Vauxhall parts?
