The NSK 62/28NR C3 is a deep groove ball bearing with a snap-ring groove (NR suffix) on the outer ring, measuring 28x58x16mm. What does the NR suffix mean on this NSK bearing?

NR indicates the outer ring has a machined circumferential groove for a snap ring (circlip) retainer. This allows the bearing to be axially located in its housing without a separate shoulder or locking nut, simplifying assembly and reducing cost.
