DSG 0AM DQ200 7-Speed IC Motor for Audi / SEAT / Skoda / Volkswagen
A reconditioned IC motor for the 0AM / 0CW DQ200 7-speed dry dual-clutch DSG mechatronic unit. The IC motor drives the high-pressure hydraulic pump inside the mechatronic. It is a common failure point on the DQ200 — when a hydraulic leak is present, the pump runs constantly, causing the IC motor to overheat and burn out. This is the part to replace when pump operation is restored but the motor has already failed.
Please note: This part is not available new from manufacturer stock. It has been carefully removed from a reconditioned mechatronic unit and visually inspected.
Fits transmission: 0AM DQ200 / 0CW DQ200 7-Speed DSG (Dual Clutch)
Fits vehicles: Audi A1 (2011–), A3 (2008–), A3 Cabriolet (2008–), TT · SEAT Altea, Ibiza, Leon, Toledo · Skoda Fabia, Octavia, Rapid, Roomster, Superb, Yeti · Volkswagen Beetle, CC, Caddy, Golf, Golf Plus, Jetta, Passat, Passat CC, Polo, Scirocco, Touran
Why does the IC motor fail on the 0AM DQ200?
The IC motor runs the high-pressure pump continuously when a hydraulic leak is present in the mechatronic unit. The extended continuous operation causes the motor to overheat and burn out. Simply replacing seals or fixing the hydraulic leak without replacing the motor risks leaving a heat-damaged motor in place that will fail again shortly after the rebuild.
What symptoms indicate IC motor failure on the DQ200?
Common symptoms include a P17BF or P189C fault code, the gearbox going into limp mode, failure to engage gears (particularly reverse), or the mechatronic showing no hydraulic pressure. The motor failure is often secondary to a hydraulic leak — both faults must be resolved together.
Can I replace the IC motor without removing the whole mechatronic unit?
No — the IC motor is internal to the mechatronic unit and requires full mechatronic removal and disassembly for access. This is specialist work requiring appropriate DSG tooling.
Does this motor fit both 0AM and 0CW variants of the DQ200?
Yes — this motor is compatible with both the 0AM and 0CW versions of the DQ200 7-speed mechatronic, which share the same pump and motor assembly.
