Audi / SEAT / Skoda / VW 0AG Differential Bearing Bundle – Gearbox Code JHY

A pair of brand new differential bearings for the 0AG manual gearbox, supplied as a matched bundle for a complete differential rebuild. The 0AG is prone to differential bearing failure, particularly in cars driven in stop-start city conditions. Replacing both bearings simultaneously ensures correct pre-load and avoids a return to the bench.

Kit includes:

  • 1 × TIMKEN Bearing LM29749/10
  • 1 × SKF Bearing BT1B 328612 C/QCL7C

Fits transmission: 0AG 6-Speed Manual Gearbox (Gearbox Code JHY)

Why are both differential bearings replaced at the same time?

Differential bearings on the 0AG work as a matched pair. Replacing only the failed bearing while leaving the worn original in place risks uneven pre-load, rapid re-failure, and excess differential noise. A full pair swap is best practice during any 0AG rebuild.

What symptoms indicate 0AG differential bearing failure?

Common signs include a low rumbling or whining noise that varies with vehicle speed, vibration through the gear lever or floor, and — in advanced cases — increased play at the differential. Noise that changes when the car is turned (load shift) is a classic indicator.

Is this kit compatible with all 0AG gearbox codes?

This bundle is confirmed for gearbox code JHY. Some 0AG variants use different bearing specifications. Contact us with your full gearbox code (stamped on the casing) or VIN if you are unsure.

Are TIMKEN and SKF bearings OE quality?

Yes — both TIMKEN and SKF are Tier 1 OE suppliers to VAG and are the same brands fitted at the factory. These are not generic aftermarket parts.
