About the VW Haldex

VW 4Motion drives the rear axle through a Haldex coupling on every transverse-engined model, from the Mk4 Golf to the current range and across the Transporter and Crafter vans. Eco Torque stocks the full VW Haldex range across all five generations — hydraulic pumps, filter and gasket kits, control units, clutch packs and the correct Haldex oil, in Genuine Haldex (S-TEC), BorgWarner, Febi Bilstein and Ravenol.

Car and van part numbers differ. Cars run 02D525557 on Gen 1, 0AV598549A on Gen 2, 0AY598549A on Gen 4 and 0CQ598549 on Gen 5; the T5 Transporter, Multivan, Caravelle and California use Gen 2 pump 02W598549A, and the Crafter uses Gen 5 0CQ598549A.
