About the PF6 (6 Speed)

The PF6 is a Renault-designed six-speed manual gearbox, fitted across Renault, Vauxhall/Opel, Nissan and Fiat light commercial vans from the early 2000s. It's best known for bearing wear — a hum or whine that rises with road speed — which, left unchecked, damages the gears and casing.
