About the Haldex Gen 2

Haldex Gen 2 covers the mid-2000s AWD couplings — the second-generation VW Group cars and the T5 Transporter family. Eco Torque stocks Gen 2 pumps in two families: 0AV598549A for Audi, SEAT, Skoda and VW cars, and 02W598549A for the VW Transporter, Multivan, Caravelle and California. The matching filter kit is 02D598574, which covers both.

Symptoms of a tired Gen 2 are the familiar ones — an AWD warning light, a stored pressure fault, and drive that no longer reaches the rear axle. Replace the pump, the filter and the oil together, or take a matched service kit. Note that Gen 2 is a VW Group generation only — Ford, Volvo and Land Rover start at Gen 3, on entirely different part numbers. Not sure which parts you need?
