About the Transit

The Ford Transit is Britain's definitive large panel van, in production since 1965 and a fixture of UK roads across multiple generations in front-, rear- and all-wheel-drive form. For the Transit's transmission Eco Torque stocks gearbox internals and repair parts – input shafts and gears, selector and gearbox bearings – together with Haldex pump kits for the all-wheel-drive system.

The Transit has been fitted with a range of 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes over its long life – the MT75, MTX75 and VXT75 5-speeds and the MMT6 and Getrag-based 711.654 and 711.680 6-speeds – with a Haldex coupling on all-wheel-drive versions.
