DSG 7-Speed DL501 / 0B5 S-Tronic Steel Plate – K1 217mm Friction Pack (Single Plate)
Replacement steel separator plate for the Audi S-Tronic DL501 (0B5) 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Fits the K1 clutch pack (217mm diameter). This plate is used individually in rebuild kits when individual plates are worn. The DL501 / 0B5 gearbox is used across a wide range of Audi models with high-torque 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines.

What is the DL501 / 0B5 gearbox?
The DL501 (also coded 0B5) is Audi’s longitudinally-mounted 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission, designed for quattro all-wheel-drive vehicles. It uses two wet clutch packs — K1 and K2 — each containing steel plates and friction plates.
What is the difference between K1 and K2?
K1 is the larger clutch pack (217mm) handling the odd gears (1, 3, 5, 7 and reverse); K2 is the smaller pack (157mm) handling the even gears (2, 4, 6). Always confirm your pack and diameter before ordering.
Do I need to replace all the plates or just the worn ones?
Best practice is to replace the full set of steel and friction plates together when rebuilding the clutch pack, but individual plates are also available if only one plate is damaged.
How do I know which thickness of plate I need?
Individual plate thickness affects the correct clutch pack clearance. Measure the existing worn plates or use the OEM specification. We stock 1.95mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm variants for K1.
Does this plate fit all DL501 / 0B5 units?
This plate fits the K1 217mm pack of the DL501 / 0B5 gearbox. The clutch pack design is consistent across DL501 production, but always confirm the plate count and thickness specification for your specific unit.
