What is the hydraulic accumulator in a DQ200 DSG gearbox?
The hydraulic accumulator stores pressurised fluid to ensure fast, smooth gear changes in the 0AM DQ200 dry-clutch DSG. When it fails, the gearbox may judder, slip or enter failsafe mode.
What symptoms indicate a failing DQ200 accumulator?
Common signs include shuddering on pull-away, jerky low-speed gear changes, loss of drive, and a DSG warning light. The fault code P17BF is commonly associated with accumulator failure.
Why is the wrench tool included in the master kit?
Correct disassembly of the accumulator housing requires a dedicated spanner to avoid damaging the threads. Including the tool ensures the job can be completed safely without specialist workshop equipment.
Do I need to recode the TCU after replacing the accumulator?
A basic adaptation may be required after replacement. The VW/Audi VCDS or a compatible diagnostic tool can perform the adaptation and clear any stored fault codes.
Why Choose Eco Torque?
As specialists in gearbox rebuilds and repairs, Eco Torque takes pride in offering genuine gearbox parts, high-quality aftermarket alternatives and competitive pricing.
