MPS6 DCT451 Powershift Gen 2 Clutch Cover – AMDS7R-7P099-BA

Replacement front clutch cover for the MPS6 DCT451 Generation 2 Powershift gearbox. This component seals and supports the clutch assembly inside the DCT451 unit. Fitment location is marked with an orange dot for easy identification during installation.

What is the purpose of the Powershift clutch cover?

The clutch cover acts as both the reaction plate and the oil seal for the clutch assembly inside the DCT451 unit. A worn or damaged cover causes clutch slip, oil leaks past the clutch, and incorrect clamping forces.

When should I replace the clutch cover?

The cover should be replaced whenever the clutch pack is renewed, or if it is found to be worn, scored or warped during gearbox teardown. Reusing a worn cover risks premature failure of the new clutch.

Is this the same cover as for the Generation 1 DCT450?

No. The DCT451 (Generation 2) and DCT450 (Generation 1) covers are not interchangeable. Always confirm your gearbox generation before ordering.

Do I need specialist tooling to replace this part?

Yes — accessing the clutch assembly requires full gearbox removal and specialist Powershift tooling. Professional installation is required.
