A clutch friction disc kit for the Audi 0B5 DL501 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch gearbox. The 0B5 S-Tronic uses a wet dual-clutch design, and worn or oil-contaminated friction discs are a leading cause of shudder, judder and slipping in Audi S-Tronic models. This kit replaces the friction disc assembly to restore smooth, positive clutch engagement.

What causes clutch slipping or shudder on the Audi 0B5 S-Tronic?
The 0B5 DL501 uses a wet multi-plate clutch. Over time, the friction discs wear or become glazed, and the gearbox oil may become contaminated. This leads to clutch shudder at low speed, hesitation during gear changes, and — in severe cases — slipping under load. Replacing the friction disc kit, along with a fresh oil fill, typically resolves these symptoms.
Is this kit for the wet or dry clutch version of the 0B5?
The 0B5 DL501 is a wet-clutch dual-clutch unit only — there is no dry-clutch version. This friction disc kit is the correct part for the 0B5 S-Tronic found in quattro Audi models.
Does this kit fit Porsche Macan models?
Yes — the Porsche Macan uses a version of the DL501 0B5 transmission. This kit is compatible with Macan variants using the 0B5 S-Tronic gearbox. Please confirm with your VIN or gearbox code before ordering.
Can I do an 0B5 clutch kit replacement without removing the gearbox?
No — the 0B5 clutch assembly is internal and requires full gearbox removal for access. This is a specialist job requiring specialist tooling and knowledge of the 0B5 assembly sequence. We recommend this work be carried out by a specialist.
