The ETB2038B kit adds gearbox sealant to the core reverse selector fork repair, making it the right choice when the casing mating faces need re-sealing during the fork modification. Together with the upgraded fork, input shaft seals, and end cap, this kit covers the complete repair.

Important Information

This repair requires modification of the gearbox casing and must only be performed by a qualified and experienced DSG technician. This is the updated OE VAG part that provides a permanent cure for the reverse fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need the sealant?

The sealant is required to re-seal the mating face of the casing when the modification is carried out. ETB2038B includes it — ETB2038A does not.

Does this include gearbox oil?

No — ETB2038B does not include oil. For the kit with 2L Fuchs 75W oil, see ETB2038C.

Is this a permanent repair?

Yes — the upgraded OE VAG selector fork resolves the fault permanently when fitted by an experienced DSG technician.
