The Corteco 19034968B is a transfer case shaft seal measuring 42.7 mm inner diameter × 58 mm outer diameter × 7 mm height. Manufactured from ACM (polyacrylate) compound, this seal is designed for the Mitsubishi Outlander transfer case and provides an oil-tight barrier between the rotating shaft and the transfer case housing. What material is ACM and why is it used in transfer case seals?
ACM (polyacrylate rubber) offers excellent resistance to gear oil and ATF at high operating temperatures, making it the standard seal material for transfer cases and differentials where mineral and synthetic lubricants are used.
Does this seal fit the Mitsubishi Outlander II (CW)?
The 19034968B / MR581295 is specifically for the Outlander I (CU, 2001–2012). Contact us with your chassis number to confirm compatibility with later Outlander generations.
Why does my transfer case seal leak?
ACM seals harden over time due to heat cycling, causing them to lose their lip tension. Oil leaks from the tail shaft or output shafts indicate a worn or split seal that requires prompt replacement to prevent lubricant loss.
Do I need to replace the shaft if the seal has been leaking for a long time?
Prolonged leakage can groove the shaft at the seal contact point. Inspect the shaft running surface for scoring before fitting the new seal; if grooved, a speedy sleeve or shaft repair kit may be required.
