Corteco Differential Shaft Seal 01031574B – 54x73x8mm
The Corteco 01031574B is a differential shaft seal used to prevent gearbox oil from escaping around the driveshaft output flanges. Made from ACM (polyacrylate) rubber with an alternating twist swirl and dust lip, it provides long-lasting sealing performance. A leaking differential shaft seal results in oil loss from the gearbox, which if left unattended leads to differential or gearbox damage.

What causes a differential shaft seal to leak?
Differential shaft seals degrade with age, heat cycling and high mileage. A worn or hardened seal allows oil to seep out around the driveshaft, often visible as oil staining on the inner rim or around the gearbox casing.
Can I drive with a leaking differential shaft seal?
Not recommended. A leaking seal causes the differential/gearbox to run low on oil, leading to rapid wear of internal components. Replacement should be prioritised.
