The Honda Insight is Honda’s pioneering petrol–electric hybrid, sold across three generations from the original aluminium-bodied coupe of 1999 through to the later five-door hatchback and saloon. For its transmission, Eco Torque stocks CVT automatic gearbox fluid – the correct ATF for keeping its continuously variable transmission shifting smoothly and running cool.

Depending on generation and market the Insight was offered with either a manual gearbox or a CVT automatic; the transmission fluid we list here is for the CVT, and keeping it filled with the right-specification fluid is one of the simplest ways to protect it.
