What does “multi-vehicle” ATF mean?
Multi-vehicle ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) is formulated to meet the friction and viscosity requirements of several different OEM specifications in a single product. This makes it suitable for a wide range of automatic gearboxes across many makes and models without needing multiple separate fluids.
What are the signs that my automatic gearbox fluid needs replacing?
Signs include harsh or delayed gear shifts, a burning smell, a slipping sensation when the gearbox changes gear, and dark or discoloured fluid on the dipstick. Changing the fluid at the correct interval prevents these symptoms from becoming serious transmission damage.
How often should I change my automatic transmission fluid?
Most manufacturers recommend an ATF change every 40,000 to 60,000 miles, though some specify ‘lifetime fill’. Lifetime fill means until a problem occurs; a preventative service every 40,000 miles is strongly recommended.
Can ATF MV be used in power steering systems?
Yes. The ATF MV formulation is also compatible with certain hydraulic power steering systems that specify ATF. Check your vehicle owner’s manual or contact us with your registration to confirm the correct specification for your car.
How much ATF does my automatic gearbox hold?
