About the A3

The Audi A3 (Types 8L, 8P, 8V and 8Y) is Audi's premium compact hatchback and saloon, built from 1996 to the present in three-door, five-door Sportback, saloon and cabriolet forms. It's one of our deepest ranges: DQ200, DQ250, DQ381 and DQ500 DSG parts (mechatronic units and TCUs, valve bodies, clutch packs, selector-fork and bearing & seal rebuild kits, filters, seals, fluids and tools), DQ400e hybrid gearbox parts, five-speed manual bearing & seal kits, dual-mass flywheels and clutch kits, plus Haldex AWD pump and service kits for quattro models.

Across its generations the Audi A3 has used a wide spread of transmissions: early cars ran the 02J and 02K five-speed manuals, later ones six-speed manuals, while most of the automatics are dual-clutch DSG / S tronic units – the seven-speed dry-clutch DQ200 (0AM/0CW), the six-speed wet DQ250 (02E/0D9), the seven-speed DQ381 (0GC) and DQ500 (0BH/0BT), and the DQ400e (0DD) in e-tron and TFSI e plug-in hybrids. quattro models add a Haldex rear coupling.
