Important TCU Information

The 0AM mechatronic TCU is pre-programmed to your vehicle. Please get in touch before making a purchase to provide the following information, as not all units can be pre-programmed and some may require your own unit for cloning.

For programming: We require your vehicle VIN number.
For 0CW models: We require your mechatronic TCU to be sent to us first for cloning to the new unit.
Hardware number: Located on the TCU (only visible once removed) or via diagnostics equipment.
Software number: Obtained using relevant diagnostic equipment. Vehicles with component protection will need this activating once installed unless using our clone service.
This unit will need basic settings and gearbox adaptations as this is separate to software.
This product should only be removed, installed and adapted by an experienced technician.

What is the difference between 0AM and 0CW gearbox?

The 0CW is a later evolution of the 0AM DQ200 platform with revised mechatronic hardware. For 0CW vehicles, the cloning process requires your original unit to be sent to us first, as the hardware differs sufficiently to prevent direct programming without it.

Can I buy this without sending my VIN first?

No. The TCU must be matched to your vehicle's VIN and hardware/software numbers. Please contact us before purchasing so we can confirm compatibility and the programming route required.

How long does programming take?

Typical turnaround for a pre-programmed unit is 1–2 business days from when we have your VIN and software details. Contact us for current lead times.

Does the mechatronic need to be adapted after fitting?

Yes. After fitting, the gearbox requires basic settings and DSG adaptations using appropriate diagnostic equipment (e.g. VCDS, ODIS). This is separate from the software programming and must be performed by a trained technician.

What warranty is provided?
